WORLD RALLY CHAMPIONSHIP

ROUND 2 OF 16 - SWEDISH RALLY

- Feb 2-4, Karlstad, Sweden.

WRC visits Sweden for the first of the now two snow rallies on the racing calendar - the other is championship debutant Rally Norway. The top three contenders are the last three winners and the number one drivers in the current top three teams: Sebastien Loeb from Citroen, Marcus Gronholm from Ford and Petter Solberg from Subaru. The ice and snow event traditionally favours Scandinavian drivers who have more experience on this kind of surface than most drivers. However, in 2004, Sebastien Loeb became the first non-Scandinavian winner of the event in history.

France won it here the last time out but even with a change of driver from Nicolas Lapierre to Loic Duval, they're still determined to get on the podium.
