NEW COMERS

Porsche Cayenne

AAS Auto Service, the authorised importer of Porsche, has revealed prices for the new Cayenne SUV. The 290hp 3.6-litre V6 (Cayenne) costs B9.9m, the 385hp 4.8-litre V8 (Cayenne S) B12m and 500hp 4.8-litre turbocharged V8 (Cayenne Turbo) B16.7m. First deliveries are expected to be made next month.

- Range Rover Sport V8; 295hp 4.4-litre V8; B8.45m.

Competition for Cayenne S

- Audi Q7 4.2 FSI; 350hp 4.2-litre V8; B11m.

Mazda MPV

Independent importer SEC Group is selling the all-new Mazda MPV for B2.89m. The three-row mid-size people-carrier is powered by a 163hp 2.3-litre inline-four engine mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. While the previous model was available through Mazda Sales (Thailand), a plan to sell the new MPV officially has yet to be revealed.
