Chevy sees good potential in fleet business

Chevrolet Sales Thailand is encouraged by the growth of its three-year-old fleet sales business, which now has 200 public- and private-sector clients, according to John Thomson, vice-president of sales, marketing and after-sales.
Mr Thomson said the segment offered high growth potential as more organisations were offering automobiles for their employees' benefit.
Fleet buyers usually shop for cars with luxury features and advanced safety technology for executives and select reliable, high-quality vehicles for other employees.
''Chevrolet recognises that fleet purchasing decisions are largely based on the value, reliability and responsiveness of the vehicle as well as the after-sales service team,'' he said.
To improve the driving experience and strengthen after-sales service reliability, GM and Chevrolet have invested additional resources to train service technicians and bolster their parts management and delivery systems.
Chevrolet technicians can provide services for all Chevy owners, both in showrooms and on the road, through Chevrolet's 24-hour roadside assistance and Chevy mobile service.
In addition, Chevrolet's second parts delivery centre in Thailand, located in Ayutthaya, will triple its current capacity to ensure fast and secure parts delivery.
