Village chief beheaded, three other volunteers shot death
Militants are suspected of beheading a village chief and shoot to death three other security volunteers in Yala's Bannang Sata district Tuesday.Police found four dead bodies, including one headless, in a pickup truck parked on a road at about 9.30am. All bodies were those of local Muslims. According to police, the group was on their way home when some 10 militants on another pickup truck fired M16 and AK47 rifles at them.Village chief Maleh Mongyadeng, 35, was beheaded and his head was found a few metres away.
