Two soldiers wounded in Yala bomb attack
Yala - Two soldiers were injured in a bomb attack at an abandoned bus station here on Monday.

Sgt Anuchit Thipsing, 24, and Sgt Surapon Kaewcharoen, 26, were taken to a nearby hospital for wounds inflicted by shrapnel.

Both soldiers were on a routine patrol on Tasap-Lammai road in Muang district of Yala and were resting at an abandoned bus station when the bomb went off.

It is believed that suspected militants planted explosives at the bus station after observing the patrol unit's route and learning that they usually stopped at the bus station.

Police said the militants may have triggered the explosion by remote control.
