PTTAR closes at Bt47.75 at mid-day brake

PTTAR closes at Bt47.75 at mid-day brake

Stock price of PTT Aromatics & Refinerey Plc (PTTAR), the company emerged from an amalgamation of Aromatics (Thailand) Plc and Rayong Refinery Plc, stood at Bt47.75 at the mid-day brake.

The stock opened at Bt49.50 before weakening to Bt47.75, well above the price calculated from ATC's and RRC's closing price ahead of suspension for the merger at Bt43.

With market capitalisation of over Bt130 billion, the 11th largest in the Thai market, it is expected to boost the market's attractiveness. However, the trading on Wednesday failed to boost the general trading sentiment in the Stock Exchange of Thailand.

The SET Index opened slightly higher than the closing on December 28, 2007 but kept sliding to close at mid-day at 846.67 points, down 11.43 points or 1.33 per cent, on thin turnover of Bt7.145 billion.
