ASEAN CUP

Kiatisak doubtful for match

TOR CHITTINAND

Thailand skipper Kiatisak 'Zico' Senamuang faces a race to be fit for tomorrow's Asean Cup semi-final second leg against Vietnam because of an injured tendon. Thailand take a 2-0 lead into the match at Supachalasai stadium courtesy of victory in Hanoi on Wednesday night.

But the national side are now waiting to see if Kiatisak will be able to feature.

Coach Charnwit Phalajivin said a doctor was set to examine the player today.

''If he isn't fit enough to start he may be on the bench,'' said Charnwit.

''Whether he plays or not, we will still attack from the start because we don't want the Thai fans to feel bored.

''However, we must not underestimate Vietnam.''

If Kiatisak cannot play then Pipat Tonkanya, Sarayuth Chaikamdee or Kwanchai Phuangprakob will take his place.

Meanwhile, Thailand's pre-Olympic team lost 3-1 to Denmark's U21 side in a friendly at the Army stadium yesterday.

The Danes got their first goal in the 18th minute through Jens Gjesing then Soren Christensen made it 2-0.

Teerasilp Dangda pulled one back after the interval but Lasse Qvist completed the 3-1 scoreline for the visitors.
