BMA confident voter turnout will exceed 70 pct

(BangkokPost.com) – The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) believes voter turnout could exceed 70 percent.

City councillor Pongsak Semsant based his optimism on a recent survey conducted on voter awareness. He said that election officials are now fully prepared to ensure that all goes smoothly today.

Within hours of polling stations opening, a few problems have already been reported in Sathorn district where polling stations 45-47, located right next to the expressway, are said to be virtually empty because of their location. Authorities are working together to figure a solution to the problem.
