Hua Hin Market Village held Art Exhibition devoted to HM the King
Hua Hin Market Village has held an exhibition on large scale paintings about HM the king, with 80 famous artists creating the pieces of art as well as a jazz band playing HM’s songs in The Celebrations on the Auspicious Occasion of His Majesty the King's 80'th Birthday Anniversary 5th December 2007 to promote tourism in Hua Hin.
Mr. Yanyong Kanhawatthana, the General Manager of Hua Hin Market Village, revealed on December 1st 2007 Hua Hin Market village used the Seaside Court area as an open space for painting HM picture (5 m x 10 m) with true colors as is the principal of painting by the 80 famous artists, taking 80 hours for completion. After the completion, the painting was placed at Hua Hin Market Village to be admired by the Thais and foreigners.
Following that, HM the king Bhumibol’ songs such as Klairoong (Near Dawn) and Chata Cheewit (Life’s Destiny) were beautifully sung. Then, there was classical dance with music performances and painting HM the king’s picture by students while listening to the songs composed by HM the king simultaneously.
On December 5th at 19.00, both the Thais and foreigners lit their blessing candles while singing Sadudee Maharaja and the praising song for the great king. Then there was a blessing classical dance performance and HM the king’s songs played by the Jazz Band to celebrate and praise the beloved king on the special occasion.
Mr. Yanyong also added the mentioned exhibition displayed the paintings which cost one million baht made by famous artists in Hua Hin for interested persons. Moreover, on December 14th 2007, Sofitel Centara Grand Hotel, Bangkok will lead the procession of 80 ancient cars such as MG, Mercedes Benz, Volvo, Volkswagen, Ford, Fiat and so on by Khun Supattra Jirathiwat to visit Hua Hin for ancient car fans as well as providing an 80 meter – long Cocktail Buffet for participants.
The main purpose of the aforementioned activities was for praising and celebrating HM the King Bhumibol on the occasion of 80th anniversary of HM. the king, including promoting Hua Hin – Cha-am tourism during high season. Therefore, the Thais who were in Hua Hin, Bangkok and even foreigners were welcomed. The interested participants only paid 80 baht and they could have various meals on buffet as they desired.
