Political heavyweights cast their ballots
(BangkokPost.com) – Prime Minister Surayud Chulanont cast his ballot amidst tight security this morning in constituency 4 of Bangkok.
Else where, voters were said to be equally active, flocking to the polls in droves. In Bangkok Noi district, there was a high turnout with National Police Chief Seripisuth Temiyavej also expected to vote later today.
Chart Thai party leader Banharn Silpa-archa voted from his hometown of Suphan Buri. He voted with his wife Khunying Chamsai and his son and daughter Worawut and Kanchana.
Polls across the nation are expected to close at 3pm.
