Thaksin children to vote, but father banned
(BangkokPost.com) - Admiral Sathirapan Keyanont, member of the Council for National Security has cast his vote at a polling station in Toong Song Hong, Laksi district. He then reminded people to come out and vote.
In the south, navy officials have dispatched boats to accommodate voters in flood-stricken Narathiwat province.
Meanwhile, the Shinawatras are expecting to cast their ballots from Pimolwit school in Bang Plat district. While exiled prime minister Mr Thaksin Shinawatra’s voting rights have been revoked, two of his children, Panthongtae and Paethongtarn are both registered as eligible voters.
