Samak does a disappearing act
(BangkokPost.com) – There’s been no sign of People Power party (PPP) leader Samak Sundaravej this morning after unofficial results show the proxy for ousted premier Thaksin Shinawatra had won 228 seats, short of a majority win.
Hoardes of local and foreign press are still camping outside PPP headquarters in hopes of catching a glimpse of either Mr Samak or any political party leader who may want to discuss forming a coalition government with PPP.
According to sources, Mr Samak is still holed up inside his home despite rumours that he will meet with leaders of other political parties at the Radisson Hotel sometime today.
