Yoyod Yingfa Ayutthaya World Heritage Festival is currently running until December 16 at Ayutthaya Historical Park. Lovers of light and sound shows should not miss the show staged at Wat Maha That. There will be an old-fashioned market, sale of Otop products, a food fair, a Red Cross fair and cultural performances.

Hong Kong marks WinterFest
Come join the unique festive spirit of Hong Kong during the WinterFest which runs from now until January 1.
Spectacular animated illuminations cover skyscrapers on both sides of Victoria Harbour. Streets and malls sparkle with themed decorations and the city takes on a carnival atmosphere as different districts vie for attention with colourful events and street parties.
The three key districts of Central, Causeway Bay and Tsim Sha Tsui are pulling out all the stops to offer a glittering array of exciting events and activities, including street performances.

Vietnam package
Nok Air is offering a three-day tour to Hanoi and Halong Bay, Vietnam from now until March 29, 2008.
The package includes roundtrip airfare, airport transfers, two-night accommodation. In addition, the programme includes a Hanoi city tour to the Old Quarter, Ngoc Son Temple, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, One Pillar Pagoda, Literature Temple and Water Puppet show. Self-driving in NZ
Tourism New Zealand and THAI Royal Orchid Holidays will organise a free seminar, "Driving in New Zealand is Easier Than You Think", and introduce a new travel programme "Tiew Pen Ku" or "Travel as Couple with ROH", on December 15 from 1-4:30pm at Holiday Inn Silom Hotel.
The seminar aims to provide useful information for tourists interested in self-driving in New Zealand and introduce the capital, Wellington, the new ROH destination including its various attractions, wine trails and other tourism regions. Meet ML Parson Svasti, showhost of Pinto Tao Lek TV programme, who will share his New Zealand experience. Tourism New Zealand staff will also offer suggestions and answer your questions about planning your holiday in New Zealand.
Apart from useful travel insights, there will also be special travel packages by Royal Orchid Holidays and special giveaway at the seminar.

For flower lovers, King Rama II Park in Samut Songkhram will organise Orchid Blooming Day Festival scheduled from December 14-16.
In Chiang Mai rose admirers can check the Chiang Mai Winter Rose Festival to be held from December 21-23 the JJ Market, Asadathorn Road. There will be rose contests, exhibition, a demonstration of making artificial roses made from silica sand, rose breed development with Ion beam, art of rose arrangement and a clinic for rose growers. The rose fair is open from 9am-8pm. Admission is free.
