Legendary soprano Dame Kiri Te Kanawa from New Zealand will make a stop in Bangkok as part of her "Farewell Tour". Accompanying her will be the pianist Julan Reynolds and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra.

The programme will include "Ridente la calma, K 152", "An Chloe K 524", "Abendempfindung K 523" and "Un moto di gioia K 579" by Mozart; "Standchen Op 17, No 2", "Die Nacht Op 10, No 3", "All mein Gedanken Op 21, No 1", "Morgen Op 27, No 4" and "Zueignung Op 10, No 1" by Richard Strauss; Poulenc's "Voyage — Paris", "Banalites: No 2, Hotel", "Les chemins de l'amour (Valse Chantee)"; and Puccini's "Sole e amore (Mattinata)" and "Morire".

Winter Festival

December 8, 4pm, Bonanza Khao Yai, Pak Chong, Nakhon Ratchasima

Around 100 Thai artists will take to the stage for a second music festival on the mountain, organised by the Loveis and Bakery Music labels.

The line-up includes Boyd Kosiyapong, Modern Dog, POP, Nop Pornchumni, Nuvo, Mr Z, Groove Riders, Crescendo, Po Yokee Playboy, Ben Chalatit, Tor Suksit, Radklao Amaradit, Kob Songsit, Flure, Friday, Sqweez Animal, Lipta, 7th Scene, Tea for Three, Lolita, Shining Star and Safe & Big Bomb.

Nose No 7

February 1 to March 2, 2008, Scala Theatre, Siam Square

Though he said he would no longer do stage shows, popular stand-up comedian "Nose" Udom Taepanich can't seem to stay away, so he will return for a new talk show.

Nose was born in 1968 in Chon Buri Province. He began his career as cartoonist for Chaiyapruek, and then an art designer for Pai Yan Yai magazine. He turned to acting and became a well-known gagman after performing in the popular TV comedy show as Sena Note around 15 years ago.

Memories of Joe Pause

December 15, 8pm, Royal Paragon Hall

Radio station Cool 93 Farenheit will host a concert to commemorate a life of Thai singer Umarin "Joe" Loengboriboon from the pop-rock band Pause, who died on February 20, 2002.

His songs will be rearranged by Thai vocalists including Pod from Modern Dog, Wiyada Komalkul, Nop Pornchumni, Radklao Umaradit, Noi from Plu, Po Yokee Playboy and Boy Trai Poomrattana.

The band released the first album "Pause (Me) Again" in 1996 and followed with three albums, "Evo & Nova", "Mild" and "Rewind". Their hits include "Tee Wang", Kho Kwam", "Sum Pan", "Mai Mee Wan Pae" and "Chuay Bok Dai Mai".

Part of proceeds will be given to Joe Pause's family.
