Wandee grabs women's gold

Nakhon Ratchasima _ Olympic bronze medallist Wandee Kam-Eaim comfortably won the women's 58kg division yesterday. Wandee was too strong for her opponents with lifts of 86kg in the snatch and 127kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 213kg.
Vietnamese Nguyen Thi Yen picked up the silver with a total of 185kg (85-100) and Hidilyn Diaz of the Philippines finished third (80-100-180).
''This medal is for the country and the King,'' said Wandee.
Thailand also took two golds in the men's competition.
In the men's 62kg class, Indonesia's Triyatno won the gold with attempts of 130kg in the snatch and 160kg in the clean and jerk for a total of 290kg.
Niwat Kritphet of Thailand took the silver with 278kg (126-153) and Malaysia's Naharudin Mahayudin received the bronze with 265kg (120-135).
In the men's 69kg category, Thailand's Sitthisak Suphalak and Indonesia's Edi Kurniawan both lifted 299kg in total but the latter took the gold because his body weight was lighter than the Thai.
