Valentine's eve concert
Expect a magical atmosphere at "An Unforgettable Love: Valentine's Evening Concert", a performance of romantic music which the Church of Christ in Thailand will be hosting on February 13 on the 6th floor of its premises at 328 Phaya Thai Road (near Ratchathewi BTS and the Asia Hotel).
Organised by D&M Music Studio in collaboration with Mongkol and Duangdao Chayasirisobhon, the concert will feature Korean flute prodigy Park Yae Ram performing Charles-Marie Widor's Suite for Flute and Piano: Romance (Opus 34) and Salomon Jadassohn's Notturno (Opus 133).
The programme will also include love songs from popular musicals like Cats, Sunset Boulevard, Miss Saigon, Aspects of Love, Whistle Down the Wind , South Pacific, West Side Story, The King and I, Phantom of the Opera, The Kismet and Carousel. They will be sung by Joy Joung-sook Kim, Warunee Boonrang, Lullarit Supataravanij and Rungtum Kiatsrichart, with piano accompaniment provided by Arithat Udontasanee and Kim Youn Hee.
The show starts at 7:30pm. Tickets are priced at 400 and 200 baht (students only) and include a complimentary snack. Futon gig at RCA
Tired of too-cool-for-school music? Then "Whatever!" might be the answer to your prayers. Gene Futon and Co are back on the decks again, selecting the cheesiest of tunes from bands like Banarama, Bon Jovi and All Saints for an evening of guilty pleasures.
"Whatever!" kicks off at 10 o'clock this evening in the bar at Club Astra on Royal City Avenue and will wind up at 2am. The 200 baht tickets include one complimentary drink. Bring along your national ID card or passport.

Oom birthday bash
Oom is celebrating its 2nd anniversary tomorrow at Forum Zone on the ground floor of CentralWorld.
There'll be a streetwear fashion show from Manga, featuring celebrity models including Nitra Kitiyakorn Na Ayutthaya and Pitta Na Pattalung, plus live music from Slur, Penguin Villa and Superbaker. Later, deejays Jin and K-Natz will be manning the decks.

"J-Trends in Love" is the name of a music and dance event at Mahboonkrong (MBK) Centre this Saturday which will run from noon to 6pm.

'Sundowners' at Siam Paragon
AustCham, the Australian-Thai Chamber of Commerce, is inviting members of all 28 constituent bodies of the Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand to attend its first "Sundowners" business-networking function of the year. It will be held next Wednesday, from 6:30 to 9pm, at Siam Ocean World (floors B1 and B2), Siam Paragon complex.
Finger food, Australian premium wine, sparkling wine, beer, spirits and soft drinks will be available throughout the evening on a "free-flow" basis.
